Wedding Sayings For Sparklers

What is meditation?

When I lived in Bangkok, Giovanni once heard me say that I like to form a meditation group. At the time he was interested. "I like it much thought." I was so surprised as if a porn actress who wants to tell me that the Pope received in audience to release his blanket. The surprise subsided when I heard that Giovanni was meditating lying on the couch at home after a good lunch, looking at infinity and not thinking about anything. The latter, about not thinking about anything, it was something I did to perfection.

I also was a time I thought that meditation was to leave a blank mind, stopping the thoughts. If you think that consisted in the stones of the field and Giovanni would be a great meditators.

few words of Krishnamurti on meditation:

" should really forget the word" meditation. "This word has been corrupted. The ordinary meaning of the word "weigh, consider, think about something, is pretty trivial and ordinary. If you want to understand the nature of meditation you should really forget about the word because you can not measure in words what is not measurable, which is beyond all measure. There are no words that can be transmitted, or systems, or modes of thought, practice or discipline. Meditation (...) you can put aside the word, quietly and gently begin to feel a movement that is not of time (...) A movement in the direction of a wave: wave after wave, beginning nowhere and no beach where you crash. It is an endless wave. Time, however, slow as it is, is pretty tired.

Time means growth, evolution, evolution, reach, learn, change. And time is not the way that lies beyond the word meditation. The time has nothing to do with it. Time is the action of the will, desire and the desire can not in any way ...

Here, sitting on the rock, the blue sky is incredibly blue, the air is so pure, so untainted. Beyond this range is the desert. You see, miles and miles. Is no time really a perception of what is ... I do not have time can not be measured in words. And meditation is just a word . "

If I understand Krishnamurti, for him time is a subjective dimension. It is the ego who introduces the time being. The ego is concerned with the past that comes and the future that is moving, but can not live in the present. Meditation is being present in the mind that knows no time, it transcends. Meditation is letting go with the flow of life, becoming one with him, go beyond the division between the self and the universe.

When I meditate, most of the time I'm distracted thinking about the past and future, that is, I spend most of the time there meditating. But there is always a split second, the moment that sounds the alarm that signals the end of the session, during which I forget the past, present and myself. The day be able to extend that moment, I will be able to meditate.
